Warson Woods is one of the cities in St. Louis County, Missouri in the U.S. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city’s total area is 1.50 km2 (0.58 sq. miles), all land while its 2010 population was 1, 962. The 2010 census also showed there were 760 households with 568 families living in Warson Woods. This translates to a population density of 3, 382.8 inhabitants per sq. miles or 1, 306/km2. The racial composition of the city was 97.9 percent White, 0.7 percent Asian, 0.5 percent African American, 0.2 percent Native American, and the rest from other races or a mix of races.

The entire community of Warson Woods is served by two public school districts: Kirkwood School District with 5 elementary schools (Kirkwood high school, 1 early childhood center and 2 middle schools) and the Webster Groves School District, which comprises 6 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 sixth grade school. There are also 2 private schools within the city. Rohan Woods School offers early childhood education through to 6th grade. Ste. Genevieve du Bois School is a Catholic school offering education to kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Kirkwood High School
The school has a rich history dating back to the founding of the Kirkwood School District in 1865. Both elementary and high school students attended school in a temporary building launched in 1866. The modern-day school building located on West Essex Avenue was constructed on a 47-acre college-style campus in 1955. The school was open to all, as both White and African Americans were allowed to attend school together.
